Linda Elias Memorial Scholarship Fund
Linda Elias, one of Southern California's most successful female sailboat racers, passed away on January 3, 2003, after a nine-year battle with ovarian cancer, at the age of 52. A winner of the Peggy Slater Yachtswoman of the Year Award, she raced in the Transpac in 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1999.
Her women's sailing team were three time champions of the Women's One Design Challenge, sponsored by the Long Beach Sailing Association and the Long Beach Yacht Club.
