Community Outreach
At Long Beach Sailing Foundation, we cherish the spirit of sailing and the community it creates. During Congressional Cup week, spectators can witness the exceptional talents of the world's top sailors competing on our iconic Catalina 37s.
These remarkable boats are the pride of our program, as young and seasoned sailors alike from Long Beach and beyond take the helm. We are dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of sailing and invite everyone to join us on this exciting water adventure.
In promoting youth sailing, the Foundation has introduced area teenagers, who may never have been near a boat, to the excitement of competitive sailing as they crew on Wednesday evening races throughout the summer or participate in our middle school STEM program.
Neither of these activities would be possible without our youth and community outreach partners, the Long Beach Yacht Club and its members, and the US Sailing Center. These partners and dozens of sailor volunteers are also critical to our other community outreach activities throughout the year.
