Team Building
The Long Beach Sailing Foundation fleet of Catalina 37s and their ideal location at Long Beach Yacht Club create a one-of-a-kind destination venue for team building and charity fundraising events on a large scale. In partnership with our teambuilding event provider smithREgroup, LLC, the Foundation can provide customized teambuilding events, regattas, corporate retreats, and charity fundraising events centered around a day of sailing, racing, or specific teambuilding exercises on the water aboard our fleet of 11 Catalina 37s.
With a typical setup of 6 participants and two professional coaches on each boat, an event can be structured for groups of 6-80 participants or even more if you wish to have spectators. A typical day begins with a continental breakfast and chalk talk with an introduction to sailing. Once you are on the water, a specific program can be tailored to your individual group's requirements, including basic sailing, entry-level racing, match racing, and all-out regattas, which can become very competitive between company divisions or work groups.
